Not Your Average Cheesecake Feb 6 Written By Ryan Gambel There have been plenty of times where I’ve felt so rushed to bake a cake and there are just not enough hours in the day! If you want to impress your guests you can decorate a store bought cake in just a few easy steps. Don’t worry, it’ll taste homemade! Supplies: Cool Whip (or homemade whip cream) Ricotta Cheese Strawberries (or any berries of your choice)Macaroons Flowers Cheesecake or any store bought cake When decorating a cake I like to stick with a color theme. For this one I used a pink and red theme because it’s such a girly combo. I also like using mini cookie cutters on fruit to cut the fruit into different shapes such as hearts! I start by making an easy light frosting. I mixed one tub of cool whip with 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese. Don’t over stir because the cool whip will melt! After it’s frosted, I let it cool in the freezer for 10 min. This is an important step because you don’t want your frosting to get runny! Next, time to decorate! I first laid out the strawberries and then added the macaroons. Lastly I added roses in the empty spots! Put the cake back in the freezer until you’re ready to serve! Ryan Gambel
